These 3 started playing ambulance. It was a long way across the yard to the firetruck to haul him to the hospital.
This was a challenge some of the kidlins to open. Giggles kept asking for help and I encouraged him to keep trying and he did. But his playmates did come and offer to help him. They showed how to do it and he succeed. Pretty proud of himself.
The last couple of days we have been getting rain. Yup, stuck inside. But never stops being busy around here.
I loved how this all started. Hayseed and Curly were trying to adjust the boards on the tubs. Out of the blue Hayseed said "Hey I have a great idea." Then the 2 went right to work. Actually there is nothing different about this set up. The kidlins do it this way all the time. But to them it's new every time.
Some of the kidlins are noticing the changes in our garden. The big yellow flowers from the zucchini plants are falling off and the tomatoes are turning red. Now it's a matter of getting them not eat them when their orange. Man, they love tomatoes.
Small critters just don't have a chance here. The curiosity of the kidlins gets the best of them. If it isn't the frogs it's the crickets. Owl and Sugar Beet found a cricket.
Even though rain is coming I still want to get out with the kidlins. Winter is going to be here soon enough and we are going to be stuck inside long enough. So even if it rains we play in the rain and enjoy it. We did have to go in after it picked up a bit.
Between feeding the horses bean plants and apples I think the horses are getting tired of them. They wouldn't even come up to the fence to get the treats.
Went for a small walk to the flower patch. They love to walk on the rocks and in between the flowers.
On the way back Owl noticed some mushrooms. This is the one thing we don't touch only look. They do have a pretty color to them.
Sugar Plum wants to do what the big cruising do. She is always cruising around the playground. Here she is trying the ramp. Needed to take a green bean snack.
We have 1 tree in our yard. H. Dean took some of the kidlins to apple picking. We sat in the yard and had a snack. Of course there were a few worms in the batch.
Decided to go for a walk through the yard. Had some interesting plants growing in our yard. We even did some tree hugging and climbing with H. Dean's help. Just as we were walking into the house for Dinner it started to rain. A refreshing day.
Tried to get someputdoor time before it rained. Started off good but soon got wet. The kidlins loved it until it got heavy.
Teamwork comes at all times of the day. Here the boys help set up the table to wash up after a project.
We thought we'd bring a ladder into the playground.
This is a great climbing tool for large motor skills, balance and confidence.
Sugar Beet kept trying one step at a time until she was able to get this high. It also helped that she would scream at anyone who came close to her as she build the courage to climb higher.
Now Sugar Beet and Giggles enjoy some playtime together.
H. Dean decided he wanted to paint some stumps that the kidlins use for whatever comes their way. He thought it would keep them clean if they sat on them, lol. Well, the last 3 boys wanted to paint to so they got the blocks they use for building fort wall and set up a paint station. May have some perfectionist on our hands for detailed projects.
This piece of canvas has been busy. First it was a pool then it became a ballon toss up game now a fort. So much joy out of one piece of material. Does the fun every stop? Nope.
The girls took turns putting on a show. Some props were use in the process. Such beautiful music filled the air.
H. Dean brought out the leftover gate and this is what it turned into. A fort.
