H. Dean found 2 jump ropes in the garage. The kidlins got pretty inventive with them. As you can see it was just drag on the ground, use to pull up the wheelbarrow and give a swing a hoist.
Farmer and Little Guy had fun playing ring around the rosy. They were giggling so much they kept falling over.
This has become a favorite spot in the playground. H. Dean had to move some dirt around for the fence. Well, the kidlins have been having a blast in this spot. There have been truck races and digging going on. This was not the plan for a sandbox but we decided to border it off and keep it.
MN weather is changing around here. Not so much the cold but we have been getting rain.
A few of the kidlins have been working on the fine motor skills. Others had some fun with a green tray. They could see through it. Not sure what Helper Dean intent was on the floor but there sure was lots of giggling going on.
We also got a orange ball for the baby room. Fun times.
I love it when siblings play together. Hayseed was insisting on pushing his sister Sugar Beet to the playground.
This is the 1 of the reasons we picked this spot for our playground. Peek through the fence and there they are. The kidlins get the biggest kick out of watching them play. It is awesome to hear them running.
Kidlins were excited to find acorns and a few creatures hiding under the leaves. Last year we had a theme on acorns. They remembered that there was a tiny worm inside so they wanted to see them. We found some rocks and smashed them open. Only 1 worm was found but they had fun busting the acorns.
They also found some fuzzy worms too. The love of a curious mind.
The post ends are a big hit with the kidlins. Helper Dean saved the cut offs from the fence for them to play with. They have been setting the blocks in different ways. It is quite interesting to see what they come up with.
Fall is the season for playing in the leaves. How can anyone resist playing in the leaves.
Couldn't resist on last jump in a pile by the shed before going in for dinner.
So much fun. The crunchy sound of leaves when you walk.
Taking a pile and throwing them in the air and float around you.
Even burying a few friends under a pile or 2.
Helper Dean got a little more help with the fence then he wanted to. But that was ok. He put them to work. Those boys loved it.
Another day of playing in the woods. It was rather nice on Friday in the woods. No chilly wind and sunny.
There is just something about converting a table into a fort when little boys start to have fun.
Helper Dean was watering the flowers in front and was teasing Giggles and Wiggles.
It has been great to get outside. The days are chilly but we love it. So much fun. It was cleaver of them to use the tomato cages to play ball.
The kidlins had some time before dinner so they played a matching game with cards.
Bugs used the Rummika game to match with the directions.
Last week we had a family of Eagles around our place. Hero was able to watch them for a bit. He stayed home b/c he broke his arm. It was interesting to see.
After Helper Dean trimmed some post for the fencing he laid them out for the kidlins to play with. They thought this was a treat.
Hayseed decided to take a relaxing moment to smell some Bachelor Buttons.
Our weather has been changing around here.
Sunday was in the 80s.
Monday was cold.
Tuesday it warmed up again.
But no matter what we head outside. As long as it's not raining or freezing we go outside. With MN winters we'll be stuck inside soon enough. The kidlins don't seem to mind it. They love their time outdoors.
Hero has been around lately b/c he broke his arm at school. He has been doing schoolwork here and at home but he isn't very careful when it comes to playing. He is going to give me a few more gray hairs.
I love how they look at each other and get excited. They are learning to play together.
Today we fill the tank for the horses. All the kidlins helped with the water hose and while the tank was filling up they rolled down and up the hill. Just something about hill rolling.
There is something nice about a relaxing swing.
It's funny how the littlest things can make a child laugh.
It seems but nature that boys and trucks go hand in hand.
We got rain the other night. Made lots of noise and plenty of rain.
This is an adventure I couldn't pass up with the older kidlins. The pasture/woods took on a whole new look.
The trees had a dark color to them and the leaves seem to show a brighter color. The air smelt fresh of dirt.
The kidlins even found one puddle they could stomp through.
We even went further into the woods and explored that area.
It was a great adventure.
