Through the Parent Aware Star Rating I received grant money. Geo blocks is one of the purchases that I ordered.
Even though it was cold outside I decided to the kidlins out to help Dean check on the animals. As cold as it was, red cheeks and cold fingers, they enjoyed the fresh air. It was so cute watching the kidlins follow Dean around the yard. Reminded me of baby chicks following a hen.
It's time for me to get in gear an up date this blog. So much has been going on that I haven't had time to sit down and blog.
It's been fun having my hubby joining us with our day. He likes playing with the babies and play dough. He has come up with new ideas. It's nice to have that other eye in the crowd to work with.
I also received my Parent Aware Star Rating. I got my first star. So excited. With that was a grant for $1500 that I was able to invest into the daycare. I received $500 earlier in the year and purchased a train table, blue table and chairs and sensory tub. Those were the best things I could have invested in. Used constantly and enjoyed.
Almost done with my MNCDA. I enjoy the classes with a nice group of 5 other ladies. Devoting Monday nights and driving 62 miles both ways can be a challenge. But I really wanted to invest this eduction into my business. Not sure if I am going to keep up with the process in 4 years but I can say I did it at least once in my career. The portfolio is gotten all of us in tight knots. It seems difficult to try and figure out what to write. We have an idea but is it what the state has in mind. So far we are on the right track. Just want to finish up.
Dean is taking training classes with just in case I need to go to appointments or am sick. My CDA classes do count so I really don't need to. But it is nice to do together. Want to be on the same path. And as usual, most of it is common sense. In MN we now need 16 hours of train after July. Lets hope they can have classes that don't repeat themselves. After doing daycare for so many years it's pretty hard to not repeat them.
